BWRC is pleased to host a supported 20-mile run for its Marathon Training members. The run will consist of two 10 mile loops of Busse Woods with water and Gatorade stops available along the way. Members should plan to carry their own gels or chews as these will not be provided.
The 20-mile run is self-timed. However, we encourage runners to run with familiar pace groups if they plan to run with a pace group during your marathon. If members plan to run the marathon solo, then plan to do the same for the 20-mile run. The goal of this run is to try to replicate a race setting.
WE NEED HELP!
While BWRC plans to deliver a fully supported event, this is only achievable through the volunteer efforts of its members. BWRC members, friends, family members, are all welcome to come out and help out at one of three water stops. We are seeking at least eight volunteers per water stop (24 total). Volunteers can inquire by emailing us below.
Detailed course information is available via Strava. Strava members can also export the GPX or TCX file and load the course information to their watch in advance of the run.
